¡Hola, soy Celia!
Spanish teacher, language learner, translator, and pizza lover.
After years of studying English, Italian and a bit of German (I can pronounce it, that’s all 😅), I realised I didn’t want to translate languages, I wanted to teach them.
I studied Translation and Interpreting at university, but it was a year as an au pair in London that made things click: I loved helping people connect through language.
So I went on to complete a Master’s in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language.
During the pandemic, I worked as a Spanish Language Assistant at Fettes College in Edinburgh, a role that gave me the chance to support learners with very different needs and backgrounds.
Since then, I’ve worked with over 150 students from around the world, helping them go from confused and frustrated to fluent(ish) and confident in real-life conversations, not just textbook ones.
Now, I specialise in helping English-speaking expats and immigrants living in Spain who want to stop feeling like outsiders and finally feel at home here.
